Bossy and aromatic, sweet, nutty, chocolatey, these cookies are simply delicious. Sit on the baking tray until they cool completely, otherwise they will fall apart.

Ingredients
230g butter 82%
330g brown sugar
200g milk chocolate, finely chopped
2 eggs
30g cocoa powder
280g soft flour
3 tsp baking powder
80g hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
a pinch of salt

Method

Step 1
Preheat oven at 175C/fan. Beat butter and sugar (stand mixer) until white and fluffy. Beat in eggs, flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt. Stir in chocolate and hazelnuts using a spatula.

Step 2
Line two baking trays with baking parchment. Take a small amount of dough and form walnut-size balls. Flatten slightly with your hands. Bake for 10 minutes or so.

Step 3
Take out of the oven and leave to cool completely on baking tray before serving.
