Serves: 4 Preparation: 20′ Cooks in: 10′ Ready in: 30′

Ingredients
8 slices white bread for toasting
2 pears, peeled, cored, finely sliced
100gr dark chocolate, in pieces
butter for frying
smooth peanut butter

For the batter:
2 eggs
250ml milk
1½ tbsp sugar white or brown

Method

Step 1
Spread peanut butter on one side of all eight bread slices. Divide pear slices and then chocolate pieces over the four bread slices. Top with the other four.

Step 2
Mix well all batter ingredients. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and melt a little butter.

Step 3
Dip the first toast in the batter and cook until golden brown on both sides and chocolate melts, about 3-5 minutes per side. Repeat with the rest of the toasts melting a little more butter every time.

Step 4
Arrange them on a serving platter, cut in the middle, sprinkle with a little icing sugar or crushed, toasted peanuts if you wish and serve right away.
