For an easy dinner tonight, make Grilled Lamb Chops, marinated in fresh herbs and olive oil. Then serve hot with your amazing homemade BBQ sauce with grape molasses! It will make a huge difference!

Serves: 6  Preparation time: 10′ + 12h marinating Cooks in: 40′ Ready in: 50′

2 kg lamb chops (good quality meat)
½ bunch fresh oregano, leaves picked
½ bunch fresh thyme, leaves picked
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 tbsp dried oregano
salt, freshly ground black pepper

For the homemade grape molasses BBQ sauce
2 tbsp sunflower oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 cup grape molasses
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup tomato juice
1 cup water
1 cup pineapple juice

Step 1
Season chops with salt and pepper and sprinkle with thyme and oregano. drizzle with oil and toss. Allow to marinate in the fridge for at least 1h or 12 hours.

Step 2
Sauce: In a pan heat oil on medium heat and cook onion and garlic until translucent and fragrant. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover with lid and simmer on low heat for 30-40 minutes or until sauce thickens, stirring at intervals. Preheat grill at 220°C.

Step 3
Grill your lamb chops for 4 minutes on each side and serve warm with your homemade BBQ sauce and country style potatoes.
