Sweet and sour, this pomegranate-flavored liqueur is great for a Christmas gift or to indulge in by itself!

Serves: 1lt Preparation time: 25′ Cooks in:Ready in: 25′ + 40 days waiting

5 pomegranates, only the seeds
800 ml raki or vodka
700 gr sugar
1 small cinnamon stick
2-3 tbsp grenadine


Step 1
In a glass bottle put pomegranates, raki, sugar and cinnamon stick. Seal tight and leave ina a warm place (or in the sun) for 25-30 days. Shake the bottle once or twice every day, to help dissolve the sugar).

Step 2
Place a strainer over a large bowl and strain liqueur. Transfer in a clean glass bottle. Add grenadine and shake. Leave for a week and serve it cold with an orange peel.
