This pie tastes pure heaven! The Kasseri cheese balances the intense aromas of the cured beef and the tomato makes it more sweet to taste! Enjoy with a nice glass of beer or wine!

1 package phyllo sheet pastry
20 thin slices pastirma
600 g Greek Kasseri cheese or other sweet yellow melting cheese, thinly sliced
2 medium tomatoes, in thin slices
4 tbsp melted butter
1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tbsp water
black sesame for sprinkling
Preheat oven at 180οC/fan. Brush a non-stick baking pan with oil and line half pastry phyllo sheets, brushing with melted butter as you go. Line with half cheese slices, then cover with all pastrirma slices, all tomato slices and cover with remaining cheese slices.
Cover with remaining sheets, brushing with butter as you go. Seal the filling bringing the top sheets under the bottom ones and brush pie with egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 35 minutes until nicely colored. Serve warm.
