Learn how to make this delicious refreshing red wine sorbet that works very well in cocktails, too! It’s the perfect summer dessert for the adults!

Serves: 4 Prep. time: 10′ + 4 h freezing Cooks in: 5′ Ready in: 15′

300 ml red wine
70 g sugar
1 tbsp honey
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
3 cloves
2 cardamom seeds
200 ml orange juice

Step 1
Put all ingredients in a medium pot (except orange juice) and boil on medium heat for 3-4 mins until sugar dissolves. Remove pot from heat and allow to cool for 30 mins.

Step 2
Remove and discard spices and stir in orange juice.

Step 3
Transfer in a metallic bowl suitable for freezer and freeze for 4 hours. Every 30 mins take it out and beat vigorously with a fork, electric whisk or in a food processor until you have a uniformly textured icy slush. Return to freezer every time and repeat procedure. Allow to freeze well before serving.
