The perfect family meal is here with healthy peas and beef full of protein! Kids will surely love it… Serve with crusty bread!

Ingredients
1 kg beef flatiron
4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tbsp tomato paste
½ cup white dry wine
4 cups chicken stock
1 cup pearl onions
2½ cups peas
12 baby potatoes, halved
1 cup parsley, finely chopped
15-20 leaves fresh spearmint
salt, pepper

Method
Step 1
Cut meat in dices 5×5 cm and season with salt and pepper.

Step 2
In a large pot with heavy bottom heat oil on high heat and cook meat in batches, on all sides, until nicely browned. Add garlic and tomato and cook for another 1-2 mins.

Step 3
Add wine and when alcohol evaporates, add stock and pearl onions. Reduce heat to medium and cook with lid half open for 1 hour or until meat becomes tender.

Step 4
Add peas, potatoes, a little extra water and cook for another 20 mins. Five mins before you remove pan from heat stir in parsley and spearmint. Serve with extra pepper and a few drops of oil.
