Don’t go classic and simple! Go fun, different and gourmet with these amazing coated, stuffed burgers!

Serves: 4 Preparation: 20′ Cooks in: 25′ + 30′ waiting Ready in: 45′

Ingredients
For the burgers:
600gr ground beef
1 red onion, finely chopped, cooked until tender
1 egg
3 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
3 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
½ cup white wine
salt, freshly ground black pepper

For the stuffing:
8 thin slices of pastirma
8 thin slices of tomato
100-120gr Greek kasseri cheese or other melting cheese, cut julienne

For coating:
all-purpose flour
eggs beaten
panko breadcrumbs

Method

Step 1
In a bowl mix all ingredients for the burgers with salt and pepper, until well-combined. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 2
Divide meat mixture in 8 balls. Put each ball in your hand, press down to widen, place a slice of tomato, a slice of pastirma (slightly folded) and some cheese, seal and form patties.

Step 3
In shallow bowls or dishes place flour, egg and panko breadcrumbs. Dip patties into flour, egg and breadcrumbs accordingly.

Step 4
Grill burgers in a preheated oven, in 180C, for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through. Serve hot with fried potatoes and seasonal salad.
