It’s simple and delicious! It will become a family favorite… This classic pork casserole has been given a fruity twist thanks to the apples, which work wonders together and really bring out the best flavor in the tender pork bites!

Serves: 3-4 Preparation time: 15′ Cooks in: 1:10′ Ready in: 1:25′

Ingredients
500gr pork neck, in chunks
4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 glass of white wine
3 apples, thinly sliced
3 potatoes, thinly sliced
2 bay leaves
1 tsp mustard
1 small bunch parsley, finely chopped
salt, freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1
In a large heavy pan heat olive oil and brown pork chunks.

Step 2
Add onion, garlic and cook until tender and fragrant. Pour in wine and reduce heat to medium-low.

Step 3
Stir in mustard, bay leaves and half a glass water, cover pan with lid and cook until meat is tender.

Step 4
Season well potatoes with salt and pepper and stir in pan. Add hot water if necessary. 20 minutes later add apples slices and simmer until cooked and all liquid has evaporated.

Step 5
Sprinkle with parsley and pepper and serve warm.
